PM Education Seminar

Date: 12.12.2023

The PM Education Seminar was held on 15.11.2023. Its organizers were the International Project Management Association Poland, the Faculty of Economics, Finance and Management at the University of Szczecin and the Warsaw School of Economics. The seminar was held under the patronage of, among others, the Minister of Education and Science and the National Center for Research and Development. During the event, the Faculty of Management of Wrocław University of Science and Technology was recognized several times.

We received a certificate of reaccreditation under the IPMA-Student program (for the Management Engineering major and the Project Management postgraduate program). It is worth mentioning that Wroclaw University of Technology is in the first place in the TOP5 Universities with the highest number of these certificates - 388. The Faculty of Management in 2014-2023 has awarded as many as 266 of them!

At the event, diplomas were presented to our students:
- Maria Zatwarnicka for being ranked 3rd in Poland among students with the best IPMA Student certification results;
- Dominika Dewor, a Management graduate (specialty in Managerial Behavior and Decisions), for winning the national Project Master competition for the best thesis (master's degree) in project management; and
- Kornelia Piklewicz, a graduate student in Management Engineering (specialty Business Intelligence) and
- Agata Kawerska, a graduate student in Management Engineering (specialty Project Management), for the honorable mention of their thesis (master's) in project management in the national Project Master competition.

The Department's Scientific Circle, PMGroup, gave a presentation entitled “PMSession - the conference that taught us how to transfer project knowledge.” The presentation was about the activities of the Circle and the regular annual conference it organizes, PMSession.

Alicja Krawczynska, M.Sc., from the K84 Department, gave a presentation on her implementation doctorate and its utilitarian product, “Risk Catalogue in Cultural Projects.” She also led a workshop entitled. “Why develop a project charter?”.

The winner of the Project Master competition, Dominika Dewor, gave a presentation entitled. “Analysis of Methods for Building Teams Implementing Research and Development Projects” on the results obtained as part of her master's thesis.
