It took less than a year to create a new bachelor's degree course at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering - “Industrial Logistics.” This is a joint project with the Faculty of Management.
On behalf of the Faculty of Management in the interfaculty team creating the course worked: Joanna Zimmer, PhD, Agnieszka Potocka, PhD, Eng. and Marta Nowakowska, PhD. As of 01/10/2024, Agnieszka Potocka, PhD, Eng. and Marta Nowakowska, PhD will be members of the Industrial Logistics Program Committee.
In the new academic year 2024/2025, the teaching of the Industrial Logistics course will be conducted by employees of both Faculties, Mechanical Engineering and Management. Other employees of the Department of Project Management, Quality Management and Logistics who have developed subject cards in the areas of change and project management (Agata Klaus-Rosińska, DSc, PhD, Eng, Ewa Marchwicka, PhD, Eng.), process management (Anna Dobrowolska, PhD, Eng.), decision-making methods and techniques (Anna Brdulak, PhD), European regulations and insurance (Joanna Iwko, PhD, Eng., Agnieszka Potocka, PhD, Eng.) and logistics controlling (Agnieszka Potocka, PhD, Eng.) will also contribute to the rich curriculum.
The end result of combining the knowledge and experience of the two Faculties is expected to be a logistician of the future, who, in addition to hard skills, will have knowledge and skills in management, marketing, economics, computer science and law.
The program of the “Industrial Logistics” major meets the requirements of European standards of competence for a logistician at the EQF-4 level and is accredited by the European Logistics Association ELA (European Logistics Association). Graduates who complete their studies in this specialty have the right to apply for the Candidate European Logistician certificate.
